The 2009 Fair was held on Saturday 11th July and had a Pirate Theme.
Various events took place along The Chains as usual and also on the playing field, at The Club, The Lower George and in the Church. Despite the treat of a storm blowing up all afternoon the rain held off till the last table was cleared away! Thanks to all those who took part, helped on the day or turned out to supported the event.
If any local groups, organisations or individuals connected with the village would like to take part in next year's event, which will be on Saturday 10 July 2010, could they please contact the organising Committee.
The Fair takes place at Newnham on Severn in Gloucestershire and is an enjoyable and relaxing afternoon for all ages, raising money for the benefit of local groups, organisations, charities and the community. We welcome enquiries from any local individuals, groups or charities who would be interested in running stalls, helping or contributing to the event.
We are always on the look out for new ideas and would welcome new members to the committee or help on the day to make the event a success.
